2. Mandate

	Dr Clown is a non-profit charitable organization that develops and provides the services of therapeutic artists to hospitalized patients in various Canadian institutions. These services aim to alleviate the burden of stress of patients, their families, and treating staff. The need for these services was raised by health-care professionals who wished to improve the quality of life of patients by humanizing the care being provided.
	Dr Clown targets the clientele that is most vulnerable, that is children and the elderly. Dr Clown’s mission is to provide these services free of charge to the patients and their families.
	Dr Clown’s principal partners are hospital foundations or departments offering paramedical activities to hospitalized patients.

Our Board of Directors consists of medical, business, artistic and philanthropic professionals:
