Dr Clown took its first steps in Montreal in 1999. Its first pilot project was carried out at the Résidence Paul-Lizotte, a long-term care facility for seniors. Dr Clown achieved official status as a non-profit charitable organization on June 20, 2002. The Starlight Children’s Foundation Canada immediately became our main partner. Dr Clown has been growing ever since, giving more and better support to patients young and old, their loved ones, and their care staff.
